For over 12 years, Desiree has worked closely with the boating community as Marketing Manager and freelance writer for OP Media Group which publishes Pacific Yachting and British Columbia Magazine.She learned how to sail and even race in a women’s league before marrying into a passionate sailing family (her husband is the editor of Pacific Yachting!) These are no fair-weather sailors—rain, shine and even snow, Desiree has gone along for the cruise. Now, three children later, and with a group of savvy-mom boaters in her network, she has learned valuable lessons on how to overcome fears, breastfeed while heeled over, keep busy (and bored!) toddlers occupied and embrace cruising with kids.
