Catherine can't cook. She really can't." So began the author's tenure as a liveaboard cook. She fought with a diesel stove. She faced death with a propane oven. She wrestled with a two-burner stovetop. Learn from her mistakes, and laugh along with Catherine as she explores the use of a miniature barbeque, gives advice on the surprising versatility of a crock-pot and utters warnings about the use of a pressure cooker.
Catherine was born in the Arctic. Dodging polar bears and dressing for 40 below was a fine training ground for surviving 20 years livingaboard. The author of six books, four nominated for the Leacock, and innumerable articles for a variety of magazines, she substitute teaches to supplement her writing habit. Catherine lives with her husband John onboard the s/v Inuksuk at Cowichan Bay. Her latest opus is titled, "Darling, Don't Try This at Home! Recipes from Mottle Cove"
