Ever wonder where gale force winds begin and when they get upgraded to storm force? Are hurricane force winds worse than storm force? Come listen to Environment and Climate Change Canada meteorologists as they clarify the difference between various wind warnings and other marine weather hazards.

Bio

Cindy Yu and Colin Fong are operational meteorologists working for Environment and Climate Change Canada. Both meteorologists have been with Environment and Climate Change Canada for the last ten years. Cindy and Colin routinely consult mariners on Environment and Climate Change Canada's 1-900 phone line. Their specialties include the public and marine forecast for BC, Yukon and high arctic. The duo believes the key to improving forecast service is through public education and communications to users. outside of work, Cindy is a mom of two, and she enjoys hobbies such as photography and cooking. Colin is a sports enthusiast. He loves traveling, hiking, and hockey.
